a little further down the road from the Jewish Cemetery you'll find a great expanse of land where they built a huge school for the down & trodden in 1923. It's managed by Liga Solidária which is a branch off the Catholic Ladies' League.

Educandário Dom Duarte opened in 1923. It is managed by the Liga Solidária (Solidary League) was formed on 10 March 1923, by São Paulo's Catholic Ladies' League to help promote poor children's education, longevity and citizenship. Not only children but young adults and the old too. They look after more than 13,000 people.

Rio Pequeno denizen goes on holidays to Lençois Paulista-SP

João Luiz, a youngster from Rio Pequeno had a hard 2018, full on with studying mathematics and other subjects for his 2nd year at Colegio (Senior High School) so his aunties Lucia & Rute plus uncle Fernando thought it would be a good idea for João to spend some time far away from São Paulo and off he went to Lençois Paulista-SP... 

João took a bus on at Barra Funda Bus Terminal on Saturday morning, 5 January 2019, and arrived in Lençois in the afternoon. On that same night they went to see 'Aquaman' at a Shopping Centre movie-house in Baurú-SP. 

On the Sunday, 6 January 2019, they all went on a cruise of Rio Tietê at Barra Bonita-SP...

Rio Pequeno during FIFA's 2018 World Cup's Brazil x Serbia

I have a friend called Zé Luiz who lives on the East Side. We usually meet once a year to reminisce old times and catch up with whatever we have done in the last 365 days. Sometimes I go to Arthur Alvin and others Ze comes to Rio Pequeno.

This year, our meeting day coincided with a match between Brazil and Serbia for FIFA's 2018 World Cup straight from Russia. We thought it would be an awsome thing to go out while the match was being played so we could see the Streets of Rio Pequeno with as few people as possible...
